Brief description

Basic knowledge of academic work is an important prerequisite for successful studies. Principles, techniques and phases of academic work are introduced and discussed. The module prepares students for the independent preparation of a written paper according to the criteria of the academic world, in particular the Bachelor's thesis, for further qualification in the Master's program and for learning in the work process.

Standard form of examination: graded house work (alternative forms of examination may be selected by the examiner and then announced at the start of the course)

Ungraded examination performance: regular participation in the seminar

Exam duration and scope

graded examination performance: Term paper: 20 pages

alternative verbal examination: 20 min or presentation: 10 minutes, corresponding paper: 5 pages

Ungraded examination performance: participation in 7 of 11 meetings of the seminar
