Brief description

In the genesis of the discipline, theater pedagogy no longer limits itself to "traditional" theatrical venues. The ability to responsibly plan, implement, and evaluate interventions in educational and sociocultural settings, as well as in sociotherapeutic and organizational contexts, is a response to the changing societal needs and a prerequisite for differentiation within the range of professional competencies. The interweaving of aesthetic design and research with socio-pedagogical, sociotherapeutic, and advisory action concepts, as well as with forms of cultural self-expression by participants (principle of "inclusion" instead of exclusive art production), characterizes the subject area of this module.
