Research associate to support the research project "FarmSPT"

On December 1, 2024, the FarmSPT research project, funded by the Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Regional Identity (BMLEH), was launched. The aim of the project is to establish a centralized master data management system to strengthen interoperability and digital sovereignty in agriculture.

Your Responsibilities

• Design and development of systems for data persistence
• Design of data interfaces for import and export
• Data modeling of various agricultural data streams
• Deployment of different systems in cloud or on-premise environments
• Preparation of research results, including scientific articles, reports, and presentations

Your Qualifications

• A completed scientific university degree in computer science or a related field
• Extensive experience in the development of software architectures and the professional implementation of software solutions
• Knowledge of data spaces, data integration, digital twins and APIs
• Desirable qualifications:
  • Experience in the management of third-party funded projects (especially reporting and interaction with funding agencies)

  • Experience in the applications in the Agri-Food domain

The position is within Prof. Dr. Heiko Tapken's working group, which focuses on AI and data spaces.

There are multiple full-time and part-time positions available in this project, limited until 30/11/2027. Please indicate your desired level of employment in your application. The place of work is in Osnabrück, with the possibility of remote work. Remuneration is in accordance with pay grade E13 of the Public Sector Collective Agreement for the Federal States (TV-L). There is the option of pursuing a (cooperative) doctorate.
